All who prayed for Claudia and I as we ministered and spoke at the Church
Prayer Leaders Conference at Sunshine Community Church last week.  It was a
great time and many lives were touched and changed.  The Wed. all day
mini-conference on Listening and Healing Prayer was well attended (about
half of those attending the four possible mini-conferences prior to the main
conference attended ours) and we have had a number of people contact us
since the conference wanting to join the “Wider Wrestling Team”.  This is
their first Update  …   welcome.

The Friday Breakout sessions were a walkthrough of how we do healing prayer
at the “W” on Wed. nights at Mars. The second session was an actual time of
healing prayer with ten teams from Mars Hill and the “WWT”.  We heard back
from a number of the leaders and it sounded like there were healings in
every group.  Glory to God, He is awesome.

A few situations should be highlighted.
1.)     A young man who has spent time at the International House of Prayer in
KC as well as a period of time with Heidi and Roland Baker in Mozambique,
had been praying that he might move from just observing miracles of healing
to praying and seeing them proceed from his ministry by the Holy Spirit.  He
led one of the small ministry groups on Friday at Sunshine and a number of
people were healed instantly as they prayed.  We bless you Father for
answering the prayer of a 19-year-old young man who loves You.
2.)     Another couple that had never ministered healing prayer in a public
setting led one of the ministry teams on Wed. afternoon.  A woman came up to
me on Friday and told me what had happened as a result of their prayers.
She had had a car accident ten years ago as a passenger and had been living
with overwhelming fear every time she rode in the passenger seat.  She said
“we have been driving all over GR since the prayer with no fear.  I felt a
deep spiritual healing as they prayed and the fear is now gone.”  That is
good news indeed, but not the whole story.  She also had suffered a
degeneration of he leg and hip muscles since the accident and could not do
any heavy exertion including walking up or down stairs.  On Friday her legs
hurt but now it was because she was walking up and down the stairs at the
hotel instead of taking the elevator just for the sheer joy of being able to
do it.  Merciful God we thank you for Your Word is true and powerful and
alive today.
3.)     The couple to our left on Wed afternoon prayed for a man with two discs
completely gone in his back who has lived in constant pain for many years.
He stopped me on Friday to let me know that he had been freed from all pain
since that prayer time.  Yes and amen Lord.

These stories are to say thank you, your prayers were effective and powerful
results flowed from them.  But I also tell them so that those of you who
have been ‘watching’ healing ministry for some time but have not yet
experienced the manifestations of healings to keep on pushing in.  These
truths are for ‘all who believe’ as Mark 16 tells us.  It does not matter
what your age or spiritual age is because it is not dependant on you … it is
dependant on God and His Word.

If you believe  …   this should be you.  Acts 2:22, God working miracles and
signs through you by His power as our Rabbi Jesus showed us and told us.  Be
bold!

Take a moment and ponder Proverbs 3:7-8.  What does your marrow produce?
The White Blood Cells that are a key part of your immune system.  Hmmm,
repentance and proper understanding of God refreshes your immune system?
Amen.  Father, refresh us all we pray as we try to live out of Your heart
and Your truth.

Sometimes that truth will even take off weight.  My brother Andrew is
visiting from Finland and he told me about reading in a book on healing that
you can pray for healing of being overweight.  It makes sense.  The same
wounds and fears and broken places that need to come into the light for
other ailments would apply to weight problems as well.  Taking this
information he began to pray for himself for ‘healing’ from being overweight
and he has lost 4 Kilos (about 8 pounds) in the past few weeks simply by
praying.  What he is finding is that God is changing his desires and so he
is eating less and feeling better.  Sounds like God to me.

When we live in His presence shocking and impossible things happen.

Such as …

REPORTS:
• A woman from a small Baptist Church in another town was brought by her
Pastor to the “W” for prayer.  She was suffering from Osteo Arthritis and
Rheumatoid Arthritis.  The worst results from the disease was that her left
leg was frozen in a half bent state and she had not extended it fully in
years as well as many knuckles severely deformed in her feet.  As the small
group prayed for her the leg went out straight and the knuckles went back to
normal and all the pain disappeared.  Thank you Father for a raucous group
that was hooting and hollering your praise as you healed your daughter.
• The woman we told you about over the past few months that was healed of
Depression and gave us such a stirring report had an additional good report
two weeks ago where she used to have Osteoporosis but a recent bone scan
showed that her bone density had returned to normal.  Thank you God.
However, last week she was readmitted to the hospital and is struggling with
some of the old issues.  Please pray with us for her that God, who completed
all things in Christ, will now complete the healing work in her heart and
her body.
• A woman who was visiting felt the strong presence of the Holy Spirit at
work when she visited the “W”.  She has not received healing yet but her
feet have been filled with a warm, tingling glow ever since that night and
she is taking that as God’s promise that it is done and He is working.
• One of our WT members was traveling and got a crick in her neck form the
long drive.  It was preventing her from entering into the joy of the trip so
she emailed an intercessor from the WT and within a few hours her neck was
fine and she enjoyed the balance of the trip.  Gracious Father, you respond
when we ask.
• Last week our son James called from Dallas with a sinus infection and
headache from work.  We prayed for him and within a few minutes all of the
pain and discomfort had gone.  Thank you Father.
• Our friend Ron P. was back at the “W” two weeks ago.  Many of you remember
his story of having Pancreatic Cancer with a 4% chance of survival and
projected 30 days to live.  He had been healed by last May and had many
months in freedom.  Six months ago another cancer hit him and he has been
going through a difficult time in recent months battling this lie with his
family.  Well, the most recent report is “no tumor markers in his blood” We
bless you Father that you cleansed us forever by the work Jesus did on the
cross so we continue to look to you to complete this work in Ron’s body to
glorify Jesus.
• A person who came to the “W” was struggling with issues at work.  They
reported that the situation was resolved in an amazing way and the whole
atmosphere in the office has changed.  We serve the God whose name is Shalom
and it is not just a word  …  it is the power of His life to institute
change.
•  A member of the WWT from Ohio called yesterday.  His wife was having a
baby (midwife but in a hospital) and it was not going well.  He called a few
intercessors and within a few minutes the Holy Spirit showed him how to
position the baby differently and the new son came right out.  Thank you
Father for protecting mother and child and showing yourself willing to give
wisdom at the point of need.
• A report from a Pastor who is a part of the WWT.  He and a prayer team
leader went to pray for a woman with cancer in his church.  She said, “Since
God has not healed me it must be His will that I remain sick and I accept
that”.  This Pastor and the intercessor thanked her for her willingness to
accept God’s will and explained how the Word shows that it is His will to
heal.  They prayed for her and left.  Two weeks later the report came back
that she is ‘inexplicably’ cancer free.   Lord, expand the truth of your
desire to heal across your church as we all grow in this understanding.
• A report back from Josh Nordyk who has been attending the “W” for the past
year or so.  He moved to New York City last week and had a number of
possible apartments lined up to look and when he got there he found them all
to be less than suitable.  He called Isaiah discouraged and Isaiah told him
how there had been a number of times when his brother Ben was looking for a
place to live in Chicago that nothing was working out so Dad and he prayed
and the very next morning the first place they looked at was the perfect
place.  Josh asked Isaiah to pray with him and the very next morning he
found a place that is 6 blocks from the ocean and will be a great place to
live while he looks for employment in NYC.  Once again, our God supplies all
needs according to His riches in glory.

So …

“Stay united with Me, as I will with you…I am the vine and you are the
branches.  Those who stay united with Me, and I with them, are the ones who
bear much fruit.”

 Here are some additional things to be aware of as WT members;

OPPORTUNITIES:
·       The numeric code for help in the prayer room is “22222”.  If you are in a
service and see that number flash on the screen please go back to the prayer
room to provide assistance or find a Pastor to alert them to the need
·       Summer is always a challenge with workers and substitutes (the WT being no
exception by the way) so please pray for workers to rise up to assist with
the work at Mars Hill.
·       Speaking of needing more people  …  due to recent transitions and other
factors the Wrestling Team has a need for more people to fill the prayer
slots during the services.  If you know of anyone who would be interested in
serving please have him or her contact us.
·       Please pray for the staff, leaders and volunteers at Mars Hill as there
are many transitions in process and change can be disruptive.

worship and intercession time at the “Ignite the Fire” conference at
Sunshine Church that is running the 23-25 with Todd Bentley and other
speakers.
o       Sept 7-8 The Old Man Worship Band will be leading the worship at a Roger
Sapp Conference on healing in Ionia, MI at the First Baptist Church.
