Ted and his wife, Claudia, are lay prayer leaders in Grandville, Michigan, where they lead a prayer and healing service every Wednesday evening called the “W.” Ted and those he has taught on healing prayer have seen thousands healed over the past six years. Ted also is a strategic advisor and business consultant. His consulting practice ranges from executive coaching to management and organizational turnarounds. He is the creator and co-author of the Unified Vision Framework which is the basis for an MBA program in project management at Central Ostrobothnia University of Applied Sciences in Kokkola Finland.

Repentance

Prayer of repentance we pray each week at the “W” prior to breaking into small groups to pray;

Father, in the name of Jesus, I repent of accepting, agreeing with and participating with lies that the enemy is using to destroy me. Lies of (speak here whatever has come up in Listening Prayer or discussion, for example; fear, anxiety, stress, unforgiveness, anger, etc.). All the lies I have accepted that are contrary to Your Word and Your will I now repent and ask you to forgive me and cleanse me from this unrighteousness. Thank you Father in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

Things We Should Know

There are a number of new people who have recently joined the Wrestling Team so we thought it would be prudent to list out a number of functional items that might be helpful as you serve on the Wrestling Team.

1) Our purpose is to pray. Keep the socializing to a minimum and invest the time in prayer.

2) Please come early and stay late.

a) We pray with Rob and the worship team prior to the 9AM. Please come at :20 before the service to participate in this time.

b) We man the prayer room after each service to pray with people who want prayer. If you are not a designated Care Team Member (if you are in bold on the schedule you are a part of the Care Team) then we would appreciate it if you would pray in the room but not attempt to minister to people. There is training that is available for people who would like to participate in the direct ministry effort and you should contact Matt Krick if you would like to pursue becoming a member of the Care Team.

3) If you sit too quietly in the prayer room the lights go out (motion activated lighting). If they go out, move and they will come back on.

4) What do we do if someone comes for ministry as the team is praying? There is another room available during the services over by the main doors to the shed (Room 301). Have one or two of the team members go and pray with the person while the balance of the team continues to pray for the service.

5) What if I cannot make my slot? You own the responsibility of filling your slot. Please call someone from another day and/or time and try to swap. It is important that we take this seriously and we appreciate the faithfulness of the WT members over the years.

6) Resources? The room should always have Pastoral Care Brochures, a Bible, anointing oil, CPI’s (white envelopes that can be given to people who would like to set up a Freedom Appointment), blank paper for prayer requests, tissues (seem to be used a lot), the Weekly for that day and any prayer requests that have come in during the week.

I am certain there are more self-evident issues that can be included on this list. Please let us know your thoughts.
